
Tom Guidish
Exploration Manager
Tom Guidish is a senior oil and gas executive with more than four decades of global experience spanning exploration, development, operations, technology commercialization, and executive leadership. He has successfully led domestic and international projects across the United States, Africa, Russia, India, Latin America, and the Former Soviet Union, combining deep technical expertise with strong commercial and strategic execution.
Tom has served as President and CEO of Global Oil and Gas Resources, a U.S.-based exploration and production company focused on South Texas, where he managed multiple active projects and drilled seven wells. His responsibilities included technical and commercial screening of opportunities, capital raising, development planning, and serving as a technical partner and operator for other investors. Previously, he held senior executive roles including Vice President of Operations at Rift Energy and Griffiths Energy, where he was responsible for full-cycle exploration and development, production sharing contracts, regulatory compliance, local workforce development, and implementation of technologies to maximize asset value. Notably, he executed early production programs in Chad and managed concessions across East and Central Africa.
In addition to operational leadership, Tom has a strong background in technology, research, and commercialization. He began his career as a research geophysicist with Gulf Oil and Western Geophysical, where he conducted advanced work in reservoir characterization, seismic modeling, and geostatistics, resulting in a U.S. patent and more than 30 technical publications. He later transitioned into senior commercial roles, including Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Vice President positions, where he led go-to-market strategies, built global sales organizations, negotiated international contracts, and delivered sustained revenue growth across energy technology and services companies.
Tom holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.S. from West Virginia University. He is affiliated with SEG, AAPG, and SPE. Known for his ability to bridge advanced technology with practical field execution, Tom brings a rare combination of technical depth, international operating experience, and executive-level leadership.
